Youth Chinese Test (YCT)

As the final term approaches, we want to see to fruition the hard work our K2 students have put in towards their Mandarin-learning journey.

Registration for the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) is now opened to all students in the K2 (PPE) program as a final term checkpoint!

Like a Chinese version of TOEFL from China, YCT is a global exam benchmark for Mandarin learning. It's marks the perfect, gentle start of a chartered international pathway for your child’s Mandarin journey from preschool into adulthood.

Upcoming YCT: All You Need to Know

Date:  21 October (Saturday)

Time: 9am

Venue: Trinity Kids Malaysia (Verve)

Registration deadline: 4 September (Monday)

-Who can take the exam? Students who are not enrolled in Trinity Kids Malaysia are welcomed to sign up, however, priority spots are given to existing students & siblings.

• Level 1: For existing *K2 PPE (2023) students. (*This is a final term Chinese learning checkpoint. Students in K2 PP & K1 programs are also encouraged to register. Do contact branch managers to assess your child's readiness)
• Level 2 & 3: Suitable for 7 - 10 years old
• Level 4: Suitable for > 10 years old (for Level 4,please be in touch with us directly via email: info@trinitykidsmalaysia.com)

-What is the exam duration?

Exam timings according to levels:

• Level 1: 9am-9.35am
• Level 2: 9am-9.50am
• Level 3: 9am-10am

Students are required to arrive 15 minutes earlier.

-How to help your child score? A YCT preparatory course is available at a top up fee for Level 2 & above (self-paced & suitable for home learning). If you opt for this, you'll receive an email invite to join the course on our learning site.

The YCT preparatory course consists of:

• 6 hours pre-recorded teaching videos
• Printable worksheets
• (Free!)Digital flashcard pack

Existing Trinity Kids Malaysia students will have their Han Yu Bootcamp as part of YCT prep at school (dates on poster).

We highly recommend that you sign up your child to continue & complete all levels of the YCT. This gives them an international edge & an advantage in the future university application.
