-What is the YCT exam? YCT (Youth Chinese Test) is an international benchmark for the mastery of Mandarin learning, from China. It is the perfect chartered path that leads to long term tangible results, that can only benefit your child’s Mandarin journey.

-Where will the YCT exam take place? As an official test centre here at Trinity Kids Malaysia (Verve), we’re prioritising spots for our students & family (recommended 5 to 10 years old). Your child will take the exam at a safe place with proven, robust set of Covid-19 prevention measures.

-Who can take the Level 1 & 2 YCT exam at Trinity Kids Malaysia? 

Students who are not enrolled in Trinity Kids Malaysia are welcomed to sign up, however, priority spots will be given to existing Trinity Kids students & their siblings in keeping with a safe number of students on exam day.

Level 1: For existing *K2 (2022) students.

Level 2 & 3: Suitable for students in the existing K2B/Year 1 (children born 2016) & primary school going siblings up to 10 years old

Level 4: Suitable for 10 years old & above (for Level 4 pricing enquiry, please be in touch with us directly via your child's chat channel or to info@trinitykidsmalaysia.com) 

*This is a Term 1 Chinese milestone assessment for students in the K2 Complete program. Students in the K2 Basic program are also encouraged to take part.

-How to help your child score in the YCT exam? A YCT-focused preparatory course is available (self-paced & suitable for home learning). They are compiled specially for each level's exam, effectively saving you time & effort. This will be hosted on the school's Open Learning platform (you will be invited via email to join the course on Open Learning, from 14th February 2022).

The YCT preparatory course consists of:

• 6 hours pre-recorded teaching videos
• Printable worksheets
• Digital flashcard pack
• 2 mock test sessions at school (date & time to be announced later)

The prep course will be hosted on our digital Open Learning platform. You will receive an invitation to join the digital classroom by 18th February 2022. 

-How to register your child for the YCT exam? The deadline to sign up is 18th February 2022 (Friday) via the Trinity Kids Malaysia website.

Important: Please ensure you are selecting the right YCT exam package for your child. Available package options are:

• Exam only (exam fees only, no preparatory course)
• Exam & preparatory course

We highly recommend you sign up your child to continue until they complete the levels. This gives them an international edge & an advantage in the future university application.
