The time has come for the HSK-YCT Chinese exam checkpoint for all Pre-Primary K1 & K2 students, an important assessment to measure your child's progress and proficiency in their Chinese learning to date.

The HSK-YCT Checkpoint

Like a Chinese version of TOEFL from China, HSK-YCT is a global exam benchmark for Mandarin learning. Testing on both listening & reading skills, it marks the perfect, gentle start of an international Mandarin learning pathway from preschool into adulthood.

Registration for the HSK-YCT checkpoint is now opened to students in the Pre-Primary K1 & K2 program (register deadline: 9 September 2024)!

-Why your child should take the HSK-YCT exam?

This assessment provides a clear understanding of your child's current Chinese proficiency level, on an international benchmark.

Recognising progress through advancing levels of HSK-YCT also helps maintain interest and engagement, as your child sees tangible results of his/her efforts and feels motivated for the next milestone.

-Who can take the exam?

Non Trinity Kids Malaysia students may sign up, however, priority spots are given to existing students & siblings.

• Level 1: For K1 (born 2019) & K2 (born 2018) students
• Level 2 & 3: Suitable for 6 - 10 years old (K2 students who already took Level 1 exam last year will now sit for Level 2).
• Level 4: Suitable for >10 years old (for Level 4, please be in touch with us directly via email: info@trinitykidsmalaysia.com).

-What is the exam duration?

Exam timings are according to levels:

• Level 1: 9am-9.35am
• Level 2: 9am-9.50am
• Level 3: 9am-10am

Students are required to arrive 15 minutes earlier.

-How to help your child score?

Existing Trinity Kids Malaysia students will have their Han Yu Bootcamp as part of HSK-YCT prep at school (dates on poster).

If your child is not enrolled with Trinity Kids Malaysia, a HSK-YCT prep course is available (top up fee) for Level 2 & above (self-paced, suitable for home learning). If you opt for this, you'll receive an email invite to join the course online.

The prep course consists of:

• Printable worksheets
• (Free!)Digital flashcard pack

We highly recommend that you sign up your child to continue & complete all levels of the HSK-YCT.
